The face-off between lawyers and the Delhi police entered its fourth day on Wednesday. The protesting lawyers today forced lower courts to remain shut. A legal notice was also sent to the Delhi police chief, saying yesterday's police protest was illegal. Assuring that the courts will function normally from Thursday, Bar Council Chairman Mannan Mishra said action has been taken against the lawyer who had slapped a police officer at the Saket Court on Monday. "The police did not take action against the constable who had fired on advocates," he said.
